As I journal my experiences learning about AI, I’m starting to think about how I can use it to make an impact outside of my role in finance but yet more than just organizing my personal life.
Trying to come up with ideas for a “side hustle” has always been elusive to me. Using this tool could potentially change that because of the time savings it could offer.
Another area to consider is coming up with tools to protect a vulnerable group, which is the elderly against fraud and scam. It seems that almost everyone I know who is above a certain age gets calls or emails. This isn’t meant to be a statement, but instead a fact. I’ve seen estimates of millions if not billions scammed from the elderly each year.
And as much as I am a proponent for AI use, this has supercharged the ability for these disgusting people to create more sophisticated scams. It’s awful.
Is there a way for AI to counter this? If it makes the scamming more efficient, shouldn’t the defense against it be just as efficient? It must be, but how?
