This is what I did this week
- I searched up information on Ramp in app AI screen to help me learn how to do something. It was the internal AI in the application (not Claude or Chat GPT) but it was very interactive and got me the information I needed. This was no different that working with human support, but was available immediately for my simple needs. This isn’t something that I would say was significant, however reminds me that some embedded AI in some applications is very powerful.
- I started a session through Claude Academy called AI Fluency: Framework & Foundations. I realize this isn’t “task” but I spent some of my AI time with it. Since I prefer to use Claude for my AI interaction, I thought this could give me additional insight. So far it’s been informative.
- Another staff memo only this one drew upon Claude’s intuitive algorithm to provide a framework that would be more than what I could come up with. It asked 3 questions, the format (Excel), how should time be estimated (total hours per month), and how should peak season be captured (check box for the spike month). The output is workable so I’ll use it. The time savings on tasks like this with an output that I might not conjure up is beneficial. This has been the biggest benefit of my AI usage.
As always’, review the output for accuracy and be sure it meets your requirements before passing it on to your audience. It is a great tool, but WE have to control the output to delivery our goals.
