As I was preparing to write this week, I ran across this draft that I started writing very early on in this blog’s life. I’ve italicized the original below. However, as I was typing those thoughts, I was at a place in my learning were I wasn’t experimenting with the various platforms and didn’t know where to start. Since then, I’ve been discovering a lot of different ways to use it and to be creative with AI to make me more effective and efficient. I’ve posted lists of weekly uses and I do so again after these old sentences.
I seem to be stuck. I feel that I’ve been doing great learning AI. But I’m stuck about how to be a creator. I’ve dug into AI agents and they are critical utilizing this technology. But how do I take the next step?
I’ve never been creative and have difficulty “thinking outside the box”. That is and always’ has been my biggest obstacle in most things.
If you have any suggestions, please share them on this blog. I post this blog on Bluesky, but don’t always’ see the comments, so if you’re reading on Bluesky, please link to the blog and comment there. I welcome any thoughts.
Tasks completed recently:
- Utilized the Zoom transcript functionality and had Claude summarize the meeting. I have to be the host AND notify all participants that it’s being transcribed. Claude asked what form I wanted it so it could send a copy to the participants it identifies on the Zoom call. Those in the room weren’t able to be identified.
- I used Copilot to send me a reminder to do something later in the day. Not very original but I’m finding myself using AI more as an assistant to help me stay focused.
- asked Copilot to list the 2026 Fed Funds rate by month for 2026 into the budget spreadsheet I was working on.
- Asked Ramp embedded AI (Claude) to prepare a spreadsheet of the card holders to finalize the email list. Needed additional prompting.
As always’, remember to check and edit any work prepared by AI.
