Something I’ve come to realize lately is that incorporating AI into my daily professional workflow (or personal day as well) is no different than any other project or task. You need to use the right tool for the job.
I’ve mentioned previously that each of the major engines that I’m using has different strengths and weaknesses. I’ve been using Claude a lot because of it’s ability to connect directly to some of my other applications (Outlook, Slack, Zoom). I also like how intuitive it is so it creates output which is very useful. However, I was talking to a colleague who doesn’t like Claude and only uses ChatGPT.
After my discussion, I decided to use ChatGPT to write a letter and couldn’t believe how fast the output was with very little editing required. Of course I HAVE to review and edit but it was better than what Claude ever produced. I also try to use Copilot directly in the Microsoft apps and find that it is so integrated that they output is efficient and thorough.
So my point is, just like replacing a wall hook or repairing a car, there are certain tools for the job. I’m finding the same with AI. Use the strengths for each one to most effectively get the job done.
Remember to always’ review the output from AI for accuracy.
